About

Imagine the lovechild of Jarvis Cocker and John Grant, conceived at a Bowie gig and raised on the sound of synthesizers, Britpop and showtunes… This is Daniall Lee - an award-winning, genre-defying, multi-instrumental singer-songwriter with the richest baritone you've heard since Scott Walker.

A prodigious talent and natural performer from an early age, Dan started formal musical training aged eight, and by 13 he was a Junior at the Royal Northern College of Music, studying voice, piano and composition.

At age 12, he joined the acclaimed ‘Teacher’s Pet Rock Show’ as a keyboard player, but never content hidden behind the instruments, he soon incorporated lead vocals into his role. Musical highlights have included winning Primal Live Liverpool, Staffordshire Young Musician of the Year and performing on stage with Belle and Sebastian.

Daniall has since added a range of instruments to his skill-set to become a very versatile musician. His songwriting is similarly diverse, taking inspiration from a plethora of artists from Rachmaninov to Radiohead, via Billy Joel and Billy Currie, to create an extensive and eclectic body of work.

Having spent 2025 releasing his songs to the streaming platforms and performing his solo shows around the Midlands and North West, Daniall is building a strong reputation as a charismatic performer and skilled songwriter. His talent is winning praise, plaudits and growing support with every gig, as well as earning him slots at venues such as the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool.

There's a new Starman waiting in the sky…

Winning Best Performance at Primal Live feels less like a surprise and more like the arrival of an artist whose momentum has been steadily building. With a distinctive retro-futurist sound, fearless creativity and true authenticity, Daniall Lee is proving himself to be one of the most exciting new independent artists to watch.
